Chaplet of Divine Mercy

 

Redeemed: The Chaplet of Mercy was given to Blessed Faustina by Jesus in 1935. In August 1991 Jesus urged me to pray this prayer.

 

Jesus: Prayer is the way of putting your faith into practice, into action. It (The Chaplet of Mercy) is especially for your times.

 

Redeemed: What about the Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary?

 

Jesus: You need both.

 

Redeemed: Jesus taught me to pray The Chaplet of Mercy in the following way.


 

 

1. Place yourself in the presence of Jesus at Calvary. Stand or kneel at the foot of the cross between Mary and Saint John.

2. Bring the person or persons you are praying for with you. Allow Jesus' Most Precious Blood to cover you all, drop-by-drop.

3. If you wish, you may insert their names in The Chaplet of Mercy as you recite it.

 

The Chaplet of Mercy

"When I had said the prayer, in my soul, I heard these words: This prayer will serve to appease my wrath! You will recite it for nine days, on the beads of the rosary, in the following manner: First of all, you will say one Our Father and Hail Mary and the I believe in God. Then on the Our Father beads you will say the following words: 'Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.' On the Hail Mary beads you will say the following words: 'For the sake of his sorrowful Passion have mercy on us and on the whole world.'

In conclusion, three times you will recite these words: 'Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.' (Kowalska, F., Divine Mercy In My Soul, Stockbridge, Marian Press, 1987. pp. 207-8, No. 476)

 

Prayer of Saint Gertrude for the Holy Souls in Purgatory

Mary: I am with you. So is my Spouse, the Holy Spirit of love and truth, purity and fortitude. Study your Bible and ask for His help to enlighten and guide you. Receive my Son's Body and Blood in Holy Communion to strengthen you and revive your drooping spirits. Remain steadfast in His love, because then you will love everyone with His own love, His own Heart. You will become receptacles of His love, faithful chalices of His healing love and Blood spilt for your sins and bringing you salvation and hope, if you but turn to Him and ask for His help.

Return some of the love and gifts of love that He has showered you with by coming back to Him, your faithful Saviour and Redeemer. Have hope, for you can do it with the help of the Holy Spirit's flame of love which envelopes you now if you but want it - with my help which is there just for the asking, taking and using, with the help of the strong network of support, the angels and saints in Heaven as well as on earth, and not to forget the Holy Souls in Purgatory who need your prayers, and yet, themselves never stop praying for others in need as this is how they spend their time - praying for others and so being cleansed and purified through their efforts to love you. Please don't forget them.

 

Prayer of St. Gertrude the Great dictated by Our Lord

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen. (P.539)
